Oto treść listu z zaproszeniem przesłanego do Romana Gutka:
---------------------------------------------------
Dear Roman,
After a successful debut in 2006, the RomeFilmFest will be held this year again in the Italian capital from 18th to 27th October.
Ever since its start, the festival had an original policy for the competition section (14 films), which is to entrust the choice for Best Film (Marcus Aurelius Award), Best Actor, Best Actress and the Special Jury Prize to a People’s Jury of 50 filmgoers, presided over by a renowned personnality.
In 2006, all 50 jurors were coming from Italy and selected among the 4,000 applications submitted to the festival thanks to a cooperation with the Italian Exhibitors’ Association (ANEC) and various film magazines. The jury president was the Italian director Ettore Scola.
As of 2007, the People’s jury for official competition is going international!
We are pleased to inform you that Europa Cinemas has clubbed together with the RomeFilmFest to bring “European tastes to the festival” and give 20 European filmgoers the chance to become jury members in Rome, along with 30 Italian jurors.
We would like to invite you to take an active part in this operation and submit to Europa Cinemas 3 applications for jurors by 20th June 2007.
The candidates should fulfill the following criteria:
* film lovers of all ages (18 to 99) who go to see every kind of films; film fans... but not fanatics or professionals.
* they should send (in English) a short CV with a text (max 10 sentences) explaining why they would like to apply for the People’s jury in Rome.
* they shoud provide a short description (5 sentences) of 3 scenes out of 3 films seen recently.
* they must demonstrate a working knowledge of the English language in order to be able to communicate with each other and debate about the films.
The final selection of festival jurors will be announced in July 2007.
Some practical information for future jury members: travel, hotel and meal costs will be carried out by the RomeFilmFest. Arrival in Rome should be on 17th October and departure on 28th October. Over the course of the film festival, the jurors will view the 14 films in competition and will award the prizes, the FilmFest’s only official awards for the competition section. They will have to take part to the jury meetings set up by the jury president.

The success of this operation depends on your active participation. We’re counting on you!
Thanks a lot in advance for your kind cooperation.
